As of now, there is a Global Species Management Plan dedicated for the conservation of red pandas. They are relocated to zoos around the world in an attempt to give them a better chance of survival.  There are also conservation attempts in their natural habitat, which includes: protection against habitat loss, reduce habitat degradation, reduce death in the red panda population, and improving the awareness of their endangered status.​
